CURRENT UPDATE:

April 2nd, 2003

Updated Orta Section .

While there isn't that much Orta artwork available, the section has finally been updated. I added a sub-section on Iva's submission screens. The screenshots are more organized as well- now in chronological order- they almost tell the story (at least until episode 6...)

I actually found quite a few images from Saga, the OVA, and PD1 I never put up yet- I think I am going to relauch and tidy up the site around summer and add them then. Something to look forward to...

I also added a story synopsis from EnemyZero's Panzer FAQs. It does a good job of covering Pd1 and Pd2, though not much on Saga.

Still haven't updated the site .

So many people have pointed this out I figure I should post it- Sega has a neat flash version of Panzer Dragoon on their site- there are two episodes so far, it is actually pretty fun:

Sega of America also has a some nice content on their site- lots of new history and information:

Orta is out in US .
I'll write my review later. I have Pandora's Box unlocked at 100%. It is all scanned in but not web-formated yet.

I am planning a big update with lots of new stuff- not just Orta but lots of stuff.

Here are a couple of big spoiler images from Orta- I don't recommend you look at them until you have cleared Orta at 100%. You have been warned:

The Orta section is up...

I do have some exclusive images in the Orta screenshot section of the intro movie.

Satourne Emulating Panzer I
It looks like it isn't working properly (no sky- though the inside
scene looks fine) but they do show it in high-res with filtering . From: http://satourne.consollection.com/

Possible Title Meaning
in latin, Ortus can mean birth, origin, rising / origin, source
This could mean either the birth of the series (like a prequel) or perhaps a rebirth of the series, (like the dragoon breaking out of the rock in the orginal teaser). Since it looks like the dragoon rider is female, maybe you are a young Azel....thank you Florian Patzke for the latin tip.

--------older news--------

TGS Fall 2001 came and went,  with no new information on Panzer Dragoon for X-Box.

We got a lousy teaser, which was just all old artwork (except a new dragoon skeleton crest- perhaps a nod to digging up the old title and re-birthing it?)
The first image below is an excerpt of the animation, the second image is an analysis of what the image probably is:

The last bit I'd like to add is a strong recomendation for Sega's "Skies Of Arcadia". While it isn't made by Team Andromeda, some of the artwork you'd swear was done by the staff. It is an incredible game. I think anyone who enjoyed Panzer Saga would love this- while it may seem quite the opposite- Cheerful, loud, and brash- it is the most similar game to Saga I have played, and right now I'm looking more forward to a Until then, I am thinking of making a "Lost Septerra Core" (the game I worked on, which all loyal 'Art of Panzer' fans should pick up) site where stuff that didn't make it into the game, or renders of stuff you really couldn't see would be. A lot of us on Septerra really liked the Panzer Dragoon games, and it's influence shows. Here are a couple of teasers of what that site should contain:

So if you are interested in me making a such a page, let me know. Also let me know if certain links don't work, questions and whatever else...Enjoy the new images!
